Grand Canyon Adventure

February 5, 2008
"We drove up to Williams on Saturday evening and were both amazed at how much SNOW they had up there! After checking into our hotel, we had a nice dinner. In the morning we ate breakfast and then boarded a train that would take us to the Grand Canyon."
"They had men dressed up like old western cowboys that came around and visited with us. I had never ridden on a train before, but it basically felt like riding on a bus."
"When we pulled up to the train depot it was still snowing, so we quickly left the train and found our tour bus that was going to take us to the South rim of the canyon. Our tour guide told us a lot about the history of the Grand Canyon, but we couldn't see much because of the clouds. After the tour we checked in at the lodge and found our cabin room across the parking lot. Unfortunately, the snow turned into a blizzard and we had to trudge through it to get back to the lodge for our dinner. We got lucky though, because the sun came out the next morning and the blizzard had made everything look beautiful!"
"We got to see the Grand Canyon covered in snow. It was so cool!"
"On the ride back to Williams, the western cowboys staged a train robbery for the passengers. It was a lot of fun. I love going on adventures with my best friend!"
